New Delhi: The three-day Semicon India 2024 which was being organised at India Expo Centre and Mart in Greater Noida concluded on Friday.
It has been the vision of the Prime Minister to position India as a global hub for semiconductor design, manufacturing and technology development. In accordance with this vision, Semicon India 2024 was organised with the theme “Shaping the Semiconductor Future”. The conference showcased India’s semiconductor strategy and policy which envisions making India a global hub for semiconductors.
It witnessed the participation of top leadership of global semiconductor giants and brought together global leaders, companies, and experts in the semiconductor industry. Speaking to Akashvani News, President of Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International and CEO of SEMI Ajit Manocha said that Semicon India 2024 is the most successful and biggest Semicon organised in any country. He said, over 100 CEOs from the Semiconductor ecosystem attended it.
Thomas Lau of Koh Young Technology Singapore said, the event Semicon India has benefitted them as there has been a huge turnout and many collaborations.
Vikrant Gupta of ACES said, the earlier semiconductor manufacturing was confined to some countries only and companies had to depend on them. He said, but now with events like Semicon India a new ecosystem is developing which will be beneficial for the region.
The conference witnessed the participation of more than 250 exhibitors and 150 speakers.
