InstaAstro, a digital spiritual wellness platform, has raised $12 million  in a Series A round led by Singularity AMC and Artha Venture Fund, with participation from the founders.  The round comes as the company crosses ₹200 crore ($21 million) in annualized revenue, 5 years after  launching as a single-service astrology consultation app.

InstaAstro’s annual revenue rose from ₹52 crore ($5.47 million) in FY25 to ₹111.26 crore ($11.71  million) in FY26, more than doubling in a year, and its revenue run-rate now exceeds ₹200 crore ($21  million) a year. Its registered user base has grown roughly 400% in the past 2 years to 12 million.

Founded in 2021 by Nitin Verma, InstaAstro has evolved from a single astrology consultation app into  a full-stack spiritual wellness platform serving users across 183 countries. It now hosts over 5,000  verified experts across astrology, tarot, numerology, vastu and related disciplines, up from roughly  1,500 astrologers at its last round. International markets, driven largely by the Indian diaspora,  contribute approximately 25% of revenue. Within India, most users are in Tier I cities, but Tier II and  Tier III markets are the fastest-growing segment, as rising smartphone penetration and digital  payment adoption bring previously offline spiritual-advisory behavior onto organized platforms.

The category has gone from fringe to funded in under a decade. India’s astrology app market was  valued at $163 million in 2024 and is projected to reach $1.8 billion by 2030, a compound annual  growth rate of 49.19%, according to MarkNtel Advisors. That sits inside an Indian religious and  spiritual market estimated at $58.6 billion in 2023 and growing at about 10% a year, per Inc42.  Venture funding into India’s astrology apps rose from around $88,000 in 2015 to about $50 million in  2024, and India is now home to more than 1,400 religion-tech startups, according to Tracxn. The  market remains overwhelmingly informal, which makes verification the hardest thing to build and the  easiest thing to fake.

“We’re committed to building the world’s most trusted spiritual platform by prioritizing quality over  quantity,” said Nitin Verma, Founder and CEO, InstaAstro. “This investment will help us strengthen  our leadership in trusted astrology services, expand across regional and international markets, and  accelerate our online Pooja Seva and spiritual commerce offerings.”

A significant share of the capital will fund AI-led product development, including sentiment analysis to  help astrologers deliver more contextual consultations and multilingual support to improve  consultation quality across languages. The company will also expand its Pooja Seva and spiritual  commerce lines.

“Nitin had every chance to buy growth here. Download, discount, churn, repeat. He refused,” said  Anirudh A. Damani, Managing Partner, Artha Venture Fund, which first backed InstaAstro in its 2021  seed round and has written its largest cheque in the company in this round. “He spent 5 years on the  unglamorous part: verified astrologers, quality scores, a reason to come back. The first consultation is  marketing. The second one is a business.”

Over the longer term, InstaAstro plans to build a faith-tech platform that covers each stage of a user’s  spiritual journey, from consultation and ritual to discovery and commerce.
