On Saturday midnight, a joint team of police and paramilitary forces arrested the National Socialist Council of Nagaland NSCN (K) cadre near Naga United in Dimapur.Based on specific intelligence input, the security forces carried out an operation and arrested the cadre. The cadre was reportedly instigated for extortion in the area.

Security forces carried a 9mm pistol with magazine, two unused booklets, 13 sheets  of a booklet, 23 loose extortion slips, a seven GPRN assignment letter and cadre signed by the Secretary Union Territory, recovered a mobile phone from police possession, the source said.
