Bhopal : A special campaign is being run in the entire state against land mafia and goons on the direction of Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Taking strict action in the anti-mafia campaign, Jabalpur district administration, demolished illegal constructions of history-sheeters Pappu Aqueel and Shakeel Ahmed with the help of bulldozers.
Led by Collector Shri Karmaveer Sharma, the district administration razed godowns, shops and residential houses built illegally on about 11 thousand square feet of land near Sanjeevani Hospital in Chowki Gohalpur . SDM Aadhartal Shri Namah Shivay Arjaria informed that an illegal junk warehouse had been constructed on 6 thousand square feet in the 11 thousand square feet land of Khasra No. 251 and 252, besides a shopping complex and residential house was constructed on 5000 square feet land.
Municipal Corporation Jabalpur had been issuing notices to remove the illegal constructions since yesr 2015. He informed that the market value of the land is about Rs.10.5 crore and the cost of construction is about Rs.1.5 crore. History-sheeters Pappu Aqeel and Shakeel Ahmed are under the watch of Hanumantal police station. Pappu Akeel has more than 18 cases registered against him including murder, attempt to murder, Explosive Substances Act, Arms Act, rebellion and assault.
