JNTUH Vice-Chancellor Kishan Kumar Reddy Attends as Chief Guest as the Institution Marks 25 Years of Academic Excellence
Hyderabad: The 21st Graduation Day celebrations of Teegala Krishna Reddy Engineering College were held on a grand scale, coinciding with the completion of 25 years since the establishment of the institution.
JNTUH Vice-Chancellor Kishan Kumar Reddy attended the programme as the Chief Guest.
The event was organised under the leadership of TKR Educational Society Chairman Teegala Krishna Reddy. Society Secretary Harinath Reddy, Treasurer Amarnath Reddy, the college Principal, Heads of Departments, faculty members and a large number of graduating students participated in the celebrations.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest and JNTUH Vice-Chancellor Kishan Kumar Reddy expressed his appreciation for Teegala Krishna Reddy’s contribution to education.
“I extend my special appreciation to Teegala Krishna Reddy for establishing such a vast educational institution across 25 acres and providing education to thousands of students,” he said.
Speaking about emerging career opportunities, he said that the present era offers numerous opportunities not only for engineering graduates but also for students pursuing polytechnic and diploma courses.
“Artificial Intelligence has become an important part of the modern technological landscape and offers numerous benefits. At the same time, its misuse can also lead to serious consequences. Students must move forward in line with technological advancements, but they should ensure that technology does not lead them towards harmful habits or negative practices,” he said.
The Vice-Chancellor also highlighted the challenges faced by engineering graduates seeking opportunities abroad.
“Many engineering graduates are travelling to foreign countries after completing their studies. However, several of them face difficulties due to a lack of relevant skills. Learning the language and understanding the professional requirements of the country they wish to work in can create better career opportunities,” he said.
He further stated that JNTUH is introducing courses aligned with international employment opportunities, including those available in countries such as Germany.
“Students have several career options after engineering, both in technical and non-technical fields. Developing strong expertise and relevant skills in these areas can open the door to excellent employment opportunities,” he added.
Speaking on the occasion, TKR Educational Society Chairman Teegala Krishna Reddy expressed happiness over the institution’s remarkable journey.
“I am extremely happy that an institution which we started in the year 2000 in Meerpet, which was then a remote village, is today celebrating its 21st Graduation Day. Over the past 25 years, thousands of students have completed courses in Engineering, Pharmacy, MBA and Diploma programmes from our institutions and have established successful careers in various fields,” he said.
Recalling his experiences during international visits, TeegalaKrishna Reddy said he felt proud to meet former TKR students who had established successful careers abroad.
“On several occasions during my visits to foreign countries, I have met students who studied at TKR and are now successfully settled overseas. Meeting them gives me immense happiness and pride,” he said.
He urged the graduating students to uphold the reputation of their institution and families.
“I request all the students graduating today and stepping into the professional world to bring a good name and recognition to both the college and their parents,” he said.
Teegala Krishna Reddy further stated that the management continuously upgrades the institution’s academic and technological infrastructure in accordance with changing educational and industry requirements.
“Our management is committed to introducing courses that meet the needs of the changing times. We are also continuously modernising our libraries and computer laboratories with advanced facilities to provide students with the best possible learning environment,” he added.
The Graduation Day celebrations witnessed enthusiastic participation from the college management, faculty members, students and other dignitaries.
