Mangaldai : A delegation of Janasankhya Samadhan Foundation (JSF) yesterday met Deputy Commissioner Dilip Kumar Borah and Superintendent of Police Amrit Bhuyan of Darrang district and apprised them about the aims ,objectives and present activities of the Foundation which has been launching a nation wide campaign for enacting strict two population control laws by the Central government at the earliest.
The delegation comprising Anupama Baruah and Kangkan Jyoti Bordoloi, vice president and general secretary respectively of the youth wing of JSF, Assam Pranta, its district chairman Mayukh Goswami and members Manmohan Deka and Buswajit Deka discussed several issues arising out of population explosion in the district and stressed the need of mobilize the ongoing government schemes related to population control and vigilance over possible law and order situations. The two top government officials of the district had a patient hearing to the issues raised by the JSF delegates and assured necessary measures. Meanwhile giving a boost to the on-going mass signature campaign of JSF in support of their demand for strict population control policies several senior bureaucrats and government officials on Tuesday took part in the signature campaign.
