Bangalore: With the early onset of summer, temperatures are soaring across the nation, making it essential for individuals and businesses to seek effective ways to beat the heat. In response to the anticipated heatwave, there has been a significant surge in demand for air conditioning (AC) services. Justdial, India’s leading local search engine, has observed a remarkable increase of 29% (YoY) in searches related to AC services in April 2024 compared to the same period last year. Additionally, the first quarter of 2024 (January to March) saw a notable surge of 27% (YoY) compared to the corresponding period in 2023.
The data reveals the pressing need for reliable AC services to ensure comfort and well-being during the sweltering summer months. Among the top searched categories on the platform were AC rental services, AC repairs and services, and second-hand AC dealers, indicating a diverse range of needs and preferences among consumers.
Analysis of the data reveals significant spikes in demand across various cities. Bangalore experienced a surge of 111% (YoY) in April 2024 as compared to last year, with top categories including second-hand AC dealers, portable AC on rent, and split AC repair & services, among others. Similarly, Pune witnessed a spike of 108% (YoY), with top categories including tower AC on rent, window AC on rent, split AC installation services, and many more.
For the January to March comparison between 2023 and 2024, Bangalore saw an 82% (YoY) increase in searches, and Pune recorded a 66% surge. The widespread demand for AC services highlights the pressing need among individuals and businesses for various cooling solutions, evident by the range of categories mentioned, amidst rising temperatures.
