K CORP CHARITABLE FOUNDATION, JOIN HANDS WITH ROBIN HOOD ARMY TO SERVE OVER 5,00,000 MEALS THROUGH ITS #MISSION30M INITIATIVE

Disrupting billions of lives and creating unprecedented crises across the world and in India, the COVID -19 pandemic has changed the world in its entirety. The impact of Covid-19 has heightened  the issue of hunger that prevails in our society and has created a major humanitarian problem across the country. With an economic slowdown, corporates have a critical role to play, not only by addressing key societal needs, but also by becoming a contributor in taking care of their local community.  

Sunil Kapur, who has grown and developed some of India’s most popular brands like Travel Food Services, Copper Chimney, Bombay Brasserie, Blue Sea, etc, through his K Corp Charitable Foundation, aims to address the larger problem of hunger by providing meals to those in need through the Robin Hood Army’s #Mission30M initiative. K Corp Charitable Foundation has provided 5,00,000 meals to Robinhood Army, in addition to the 10,00,000+ meals it served during the lockdown to front line workers, migrant workers, and others across cities, through the group’s Karuna Seva initiative

K Hospitality is one the leading hospitality groups In India and home to some well-known brands like Travel Food Services, Copper Chimney, Bombay Brasserie, Blue Sea etc. With restaurants serving meals through the lockdown and lending their support during these unprecedented times, it highlights how the sector is a positive contributor to the country despite being one of the worst crises hit industry today. 

New Delhi-based RHA is a volunteer-based organisation which aims to beat global hunger. It gets surplus food from restaurants to the underprivileged in cities across India and 12 other countries. It has approximately over 58,000 volunteers, and claims to have served over 32.4 million people so far. According to the organisation, it reaches out to homeless families, orphanages, night shelters, homes for abandoned children, patients from public hospitals, etc., to help them beat hunger.

We are extremely proud we have been able to provide food to fight hunger and support the nation in this fight against the virus. #Mission30M is beyond just the act of providing a meal, it’s about serving smiles and spreading hope to the ones in need. We are extremely happy and proud to support the volunteers of Robin Hood Army who are true heroes for all of us.’
