Kochi: Mavelikkara native Kaziah Liz Mejo has been crowned Beena Kannan Couture Miss Universe Kerala 2026. She will now represent Kerala at the national-level Miss Universe India pageant, organised by Glamanand Entertainment Private Limited.
Nineteen-year-old Kaziah is the daughter of Mejo Abraham and Suja Mejo of Mavelikkara. Currently pursuing law studies in Bengaluru, she is now based in Kochi. Kaziah had earlier won the Miss Teen India title and went on to represent India at one of the world’s biggest teen beauty pageants. Her ambition is to become the first-ever Miss Universe winner from Kerala.
Malavika Rajendran Dev from Thrissur emerged as the first runner-up. She is the daughter of Rajendran KS and Priya PK. Liz Jaymon Jacob from Kottayam secured the second runner-up position.
The pageant, organised by Queen Frame Studios, was title-sponsored by Beena Kannan Couture and powered by partner Francis Alukkas. The grand finale was held at Grand Hyatt Kochi Bolgatty.
The winners were selected by an eminent jury panel comprising Miss Universe India Chairman Nikhil Anand, Franchise Operations Director Amjad Khan, Miss Universe India 2025 winner Manika Vishwakarma, former Miss Universe Kerala Aishwarya Srinivasan, Miss Universe India 2024 winner Rhea Singha and National Award-winning actor Aparna Balamurali.
The event was directed by Archana Ravi, while Kajha Rawther served as the official stylist. Renowned choreographer Sham Khan was the show director and choreographer for the event.
