Kidambi Srikanth to take on Lee Cheuk Yiu in Men’s Singles Quarterfinals at China Masters Super 750

In badminton, India’s ace shuttler Kidambi Srikanth will take on Hong Kong’s Lee Cheuk Yiu in the Men’s Singles Quarterfinals at the China Masters Super 750 in Shenzhen today. Srikanth defeated world No. 9 Victor Lai of Canada, 21-18, 21-19, yesterday.

India’s top Men’s Doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty progressed to the quarterfinals. They overcame a mid-match wobble to beat French brothers Christo and Toma Junior Popov 21-15, 22-24, and 21-9. However, in Women’s Singles, teenager Tanvi Sharma bowed out in the Round of 16 after a three-game loss to Japan’s Tomoka Miyazak. Dhruv Kapila and Tanisha Crasto were also eliminated from Mixed Doubles.
