Thiruvananthapuram: KIMSHEALTH has won two awards from Kerala State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation ( K-SOTTO) for “Best Practice in Brain Stem Death Determination and Organ Donation” and “Commendable Performance in Organ Donation and Transplantation among Private Institutions”, for its commitment to safe, ethical and transparent practices in brain stem death determination and organ donation. The awards were received by Dr. Praveen Muralidharan, Vice President, Medical Affairs, Aster DM Quality Care, Dr.Satish Balan, Consultant, Nephrology, Dr. Shabeerali TU,  Director, Transplant Services, Dr.Shiraz Ahmad Rather, Clinical Chair- GI, HPB and Multi Organ Services, and Dr. Deepa Das, Senior Consultant, Critical Care,  from  K Mauraleedharan, Minister for Health and Devaswom.

KIMSHEALTH helped over 60 patients across different hospitals in Kerala, through its organ donation initiative. The hospital has also achieved a 97% clinical success rate in its transplant and critical care services. “This recognition reflects the dedication of our medical teams and the generosity of donor families. Every organ donation is an act of compassion that can give another person a second chance at life,” said Dr. M I Shadulla, Group Chairman and Managing Director, KIMSHEALTH.
