Kochi in Aster’s Caring Hands

Kochi: Firefighters and brigade officers involved in controlling the fires at Brahmapuram will now be provided with full time medical care by Aster Peace Valley Mobile Clinic. Tele-consultation with specialist pulmonologists from Aster Hospitals all over Kerala, along with round-the-clock services from respiratory therapists will also be available at Brahmapuram. The Mobile Clinic stationed at Brahmapuram is equipped to run all pulmonary functional tests (PFT).

The care program is an initiative by Dr. Azad Moopen, Chairman of Aster DM Healthcare as part of Aster’s social welfare schemes. All services will be implemented in accordance to the instructions from the Kerala State Minister of Health and the District Collector.

All health and safety activities are conducted in collaboration with Aster DM Healthcare’s Voluntary Wing, Aster Volunteers. As part of the initiative, 2000 masks have already been distributed to the firefighters at Brahmapuram. Expert doctors and paramedical staff from Aster Medcity’s Emergency Care will also be stationed at the plant for immediate medical attention.

Their efforts, day in and day out, are truly praiseworthy. As part of Aster Hospitals’ Social Responsibility, we will ensure that all fire brigade officers will be provided with the best medical attention, right on the frontlines at all times”, said Farhaan Yasin, Regional Director of Kerala-Tamilnadu Cluster, Aster Hospitals.

Starting today, the firefighters and volunteers at the Brahmapuram Waste Plant will be provided with full time medical assistance, including Aster’s Mobile Clinic.
