Tirupati: Kotak Education Foundation (KEF), the CSR implementing agency of Kotak Mahindra Group, announced the rollout of its flagship teacher capacity-building program— KSHAMATA — in Andhra Pradesh, alongside the launch of its ONE KEF App on Android for teachers and school leaders. This initiative marks a significant leap in digital education enablement, offering quality teaching resources and professional development opportunities directly on educators’ smartphones.

The KSHAMATA program in Andhra Pradesh will be operational across all 186 APSWREIS (Andhra Pradesh Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutional Society) schools and 108 MJPAPBCWREIS (Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Andhra Pradesh Backward Classes Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society) schools. It is designed to empower teachers with enhanced pedagogical techniques, English communication skills, a growth-oriented mindset, and strong leadership capabilities — ultimately improving student learning outcomes across the state. Through well-researched, NEP 2020-aligned training modules and immersive learning approaches, KEF aims to address the evolving needs of the school education ecosystem.

Over the next few months, KEF KSHAMATA Capacity Building workshops will bring together 1,600 dedicated educators from across the state. These workshops focus on fostering purposeful immersions in augmenting self-leadership capabilities and enhancing Communicative English-Future Readiness (CE-FR). The initiative offers a differentiated, need-based, and scalable solution with measurable outcomes and cascading impact across schools and communities.

Dr. Ganesh Raja, CEO, Kotak Education Foundation, said, “The ONE KEF App is a watershed moment in our journey towards educational transformation. It’s more than an app — it’s a powerful, adaptive, and scalable system designed to uplift educators and learners alike. With AI-enabled assessments, a central content repository, and features supporting collaboration and communication, this platform will redefine how we build teacher capacity and strategic acumen for decision-making.”

Dr. Farhiz Panthaky, Head – KEF KSHAMATA Capacity Building Project, added, “21st-century learners need more than just access to information – they need foundational literacy and numeracy, a digital mindset, conversational English skills and the ability to lead themselves with confidence. KEF’s KSHAMATA, built on years of grassroots experience, equips teachers with the skills and perspectives to nurture such learners. It strengthens classrooms by focussing on four key areas: Foundational Literacy and Numeracy, Digital Mindset, Self-Leadership and Conversational English. At a time when teachers are burdened with tasks that technology can handle, KSHAMATA helps ease their load, enabling them to find renewed meaning and pride in shaping future-ready individuals.”

The ONE KEF App serves as a comprehensive digital learning management system (LMS), integrating AI-powered tools for immersive, interactive learning. It offers content development and dissemination, AI-based assessments, vocational education process flows, and a central repository of resources for educators. Designed as a multi-tenancy platform, it also enables other NGOs to partner on a shared infrastructure while maintaining independent operations — making it a scalable, inclusive solution for diverse learner groups.
