New Delhi: Lakmē Salon, in collaboration with designer Anushree Reddy, brought together it’s makeup artistry “MAYA” to life on the runway at Lakmē Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI on 16th October, 2026. The event celebrated bridal couture and artistry, presenting an experience that explored couture craftsmanship with modern beauty in a visually stunning showcase. The much-anticipated showcase culminated with the young screen star Sara Arjun as the showstopper, bringing the collection’s narrative to a resplendent close.

Lakme Salon is the official brand & beauty partner for Anushree Reddy’s showcase at Lakme Fashion Week, translating the visual and emotional language of the MAYA bridal couture collection into a corresponding makeup artistry narrative. Inspired by illusion, imagination and possibility, MAYA brings together Anushree Reddy’s couture and Lakmē Salon’s make up artistry in one shared runway vision. As Anushree Reddy’s exquisite bridal creations take centre stage, Lakmē Salon completes each look through contemporary hair and makeup, bringing fashion and beauty together to create a complete bridal aesthetic that is romantic and modern.

The runway came alive with MAYA, Anushree Reddy’s renewed exploration of femininity, colour and craft. After more than a decade of defining her signature through wildflowers, pastels and romantic silhouettes, the designer returned to her sketchbook to reimagine what could come next. Drawing from mythology, childhood stories and the everyday objects that have long inspired her, the collection brought a fresh perspective to familiar ideas. At its heart was the richness of zardozi, elevated through intricate threadwork, shimmering sequins and glass beads. Traditional techniques were layered with colour, texture and movement, creating pieces that felt abundant yet contemporary, with each garment revealing itself through maximal detailing, ornamentation and dimension.

The signature MAYA beauty looks were created by Lakmē Salon in close collaboration with Anushree Reddy, bringing the collection’s romantic and expressive spirit to life through three distinct bridal beauty identities. From velvet-glow skin and cloud-soft lips to watercolour blush, diffused reds and dual-toned eyes, each look was designed to celebrate a different expression of the modern bride. The beauty and hair direction came together to create a seamless dialogue between couture and contemporary bridal beauty.

Spanning three distinct bridal expressions, the MAYA beauty looks brought key runway trends to life. The Soft Romantic Bride featured intense, diffused blush, velvet skin and glossy lips, paired with braids, soft beach curls and pearl accessories. The Timeless Bride gave classic bridal beauty a contemporary edge with diffused rose-red lips, watercolour blush and elongated eyeliner, complemented by soft waves and a long floral trail. The Maximal Bride embraced bold self-expression with dual-tone eyes, velvet skin and nude semi-gloss lips, paired with soft bangs and a long high-top bejewelled pull-through braid. Together, the looks reflected MAYA’s philosophy: trends inspire, but individuality leads.

Mr. Vipul Chaturvedi, CEO, Lakmē Lever, commented: “With MAYA, we are bringing the conversation around bridal beauty beyond the runway, showing how hair, makeup and skin come together to complete a couture look. Our collaboration with Anushree Reddy allows us to translate the season’s key beauty trends into personalised, wearable expressions, because for today’s bride, trends may inspire, but individuality ultimately leads.”

Anushree Reddy, Founder & Creative Director, Anushree Reddy said: “MAYA began with a question I asked myself: what’s next? After more than a decade of building a world I love, I wanted to step back, start from scratch and challenge my own aesthetic. This collection allowed me to explore craft in its most exuberant form while imagining a bride who dreams freely and sees herself in a hundred different ways. MAYA is about that feeling of stepping into an illusion, something familiar, yet completely new.” –
