Laudable initiative from  Darrang health department: Pension papers to staff on the retirement day.

MANAGALDAI :: Bringing smiles to the faces of the retired employees of the Darrang district health department , the joint director of health services of the district has started a noble initiative of giving away pension benefits on the very day of retirement. As a part of this office pension papers and other relevant documents retirement benefits were handed over to three employees under his office establishment. In this connection a function was organized in the health department office here on March 31 afternoon where joint director of health services, Darrang, Dr Nirmal Kumar Beria ceremonially handed over the packets of papers each to retired the staff namely Swarna Lata Kalita, Pramila Debi and Nasiur Rahman .

 Swarna Lata Kalita retired from the post of principal of GNM training school, Mangaldai while Pramila Debi and Nasiur Rahman both retired as upper division office assistants under the establishment. Speaking on the occasion joint director Dr Beria termed this initiative as a gesture to the long service rendered to the department by the outgoing employees He hoped that it would boost their morale as a former government servant. The retiring staff in their brief speeches acknowledged the initiative of the office which helped them to get themselves away from the anxiety of moving from here and there for long to get the same work done Sub divisional medical and health officers Dr Ramesh Ch Goswami , chief medical and health officer Dr Ramesh Ch Bhattacharjee, District Programme Manager NHM Nayana Parasar along with other officials and staff of the office were also present on the occasion.
