Mangaldai: The Mangaldai Bar Association has expressed strong grievance over non functioning of the Darrang district judicial courts in a normal manner since March 17 last . The lawyers body on Tuesday while approaching the Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court submitted a petition and expressed their grievance. In the petition they made an appeal before the Chief Justice to take necessary step for normal functioning of the lower courts and prosecutors on at the earliest. In the petition it pointed out that the normal activities of the court has remained suspended while other government institutions is running smoothly with hundred percent attendance since the month of June. Further schools and colleges are also got engaged in their normal routine without any sneeze guard . While making appeal for normal practice of the courts ,it is also brought to the notice of the Chief Justice, that pandemic situation in the state shows an remarkable improvement with 97.45 recovery rate and hardly 0.45mortality rate . The delegation of the Bar was led by Madhab Chandra Rajbongshi and Hemanta Kumar Sarma, President and Secretary of Mangaldai Bar Association respectively .
