Haflong : As many as twelve leaders from various political parties including former DCC President etc joined the National Congress in presence of Vice President APCC Khorsing Engti, Dima Hasao DCC President Nirmal Langthasa and others in mass joining ceremony held at Rajiv Bhawan on Tuesday.
The leaders who joined the INC are 1. Shri. Mohendra Kemprai – (IND, Candidate) Ex-EM, NCHAC and also the former President of DHDCC. 2. Shri Lal Joshua Biate- (AGP, Candidate) Ex-EM, NCHAC 3. Shri Laltlansang Khawbung (AGP, Candidate) Ex-EM, NCHAC 4. Keseukang Riame (Nelson) (IND, Candidate) 5. Shri Hemon Langthasa (District Secretary, BJP) 6. Shri Ajit Hojai – (AGP, Candidate) 7. Shri Firaj Langthasa – (AGP, Candidate) 8. Shri Galakbe Newme (AGP, Candidate) 9. Shri Baitendra Shrongphong- (AGP, Candidate) 10.Shri Lalsiemlien Joute (District Executive Member, BJP) 11.Shri John H. Thangsang Hrangte – (Member, BJP) and 12.Shri Kebaron Naiding-(IND, Candidate).

Keseukang Riame (Nelson), Hemon Langthasa said they have joined the INC to
restore democracy, secularism since under BJP rule democracy, secularism have come under serious
threat while Khorsing Engti former minister and Vice president APCC appealed to
oust the BJP from both the hill district of Assam for overall development.
