Thiruvanathapuram: The Kerala Lokayukta today dismissed the petition against Minister R Bindu saying there was no evidence, of misuse of misuse of power or anything untoward as alleged in the case filed by Congress leader and MLA Ramesh Chennithala.
The Lokayukta in its 21 page order observed that the letter send by Minister for Higher Education Minister Bindu in the capacity of Pro-Chancellor to the Chancellor was not any ‘recommendation’ with regard to the appointment of Vice Chancellor at Kannur University. In his order The Lokayuktha, Justice Cyriac Josep, observed that the content of the letter was only an opinion or suggestion at the highest and added that that it was upto the Chancellor to take or leave the suggestion.
