Hyderabad: On World Meditation Day, Heartfulness announced the Heartfulness Changemaker Award for Shri Kailash Makwana, Director General of Police, Madhya Pradesh. The award recognises individuals for compassionate action and service, and it highlights work that builds a more unified world. It honours those who show a clear commitment to service through compassionate action in their areas of work.
Under Shri Makwana’s leadership, the police force has taken up meditation and seen strong inner change in day-to-day work, along with better focus, calmness, and on-duty performance. On World Meditation Day alone, 50,000 police personnel across 2,600 meditation centres and police stations in Madhya Pradesh meditated and pledged to meditate every Sunday at their police stations, marking an unprecedented and historic moment for the nation and the world.
