Maharashtra: Death toll in Bhiwandi building collapse rises to 40

Mumbai: In Maharashtra, the death toll in the Bhiwandi building collapse in Thane District rose to 40, after more bodies were found under the rubble late last night and this morning. The rescue teams are busy in search and rescue operation since 21st of this month and the work is expected to continue till evening today.

Meanwhile, 25 people were rescued from the rubble earlier, but the search is on as few more people are still missing according to the list of the residents of the building.
