Guwahati: Police today arrested a youth for raping a 16-year-old girl at Nawapara Bahartal under Satgaon police station. The youth’s name is Aminul Haque alias Horu l he hails from Balikuchi, Mukalmua, Nalbadi. Police said the teenager had gone to the bathroom last Sunday night for minor doubts.
It was then that Aminul grabbed her and forcibly took her to her rented house and raped her l the teenager narrated her ordeal to her mother in connection with the incident, after which the teenager’s mother registered a case with the police station l on the basis of the case, the police arrested Haq l in this regard police registered a case number 180/2021 under Act 376 and RW Section 4 of POSCO Act 2012. The accused had been a tenant at Zakir Hussain Barbhuiyan (House No. 109) in Novapara, Bahtol l there is a lot of anger in the area over the incident
