Bengaluru: Manipal Hospital Sarjapur has further strengthened its clinical expertise with the appointment of three accomplished doctors across Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, ENT, and Surgical Oncology. The appointments are aimed at enhancing specialised care and providing patients with access to advanced, multidisciplinary treatment across a wide range of medical conditions.
The newly joined experts include Dr. Dharsan N. A., Specialist – Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R), who joins the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation; Dr. Geeta N. Shapur, Senior Consultant – ENT; and Dr. Ajay Simha, Consultant – Surgical Oncology, who joins the Department of Surgical Oncology.
Dr. Dharsan N. A. brings expertise spanning neurological, geriatric, paediatric, pulmonary, sports, cardiac and orthopaedic rehabilitation. He also specialises in pain management. His experience will further strengthen Manipal Hospitals’ comprehensive rehabilitation services, with a focus on improving functional recovery, mobility and quality of life for patients across age groups and clinical conditions.
Dr. Geeta N. Shapur brings extensive expertise in advanced ENT procedures, including micro ear surgery, cochlear and BAHA implants, endoscopic sinus surgery, skull base surgery, vertigo management and airway surgery. Her appointment will contribute to strengthening the hospital’s capabilities in managing complex ear, nose and throat conditions and performing advanced surgical interventions.
Dr. Ajay Simha’s areas of expertise include minimally invasive cancer surgery, thoracic malignancies, breast cancer, gastrointestinal cancers, gynaecological cancers, peritoneal surface malignancies, head and neck cancers, and soft tissue sarcomas. His clinical experience will further enhance Manipal Hospitals’ multidisciplinary approach to cancer care, including the management of complex and advanced malignancies.
