In the last twenty four hours, 96 persons were confirmed as new COVID-19 positive cases in Manipur. COVID-19 Common Control Room, Manipur said that 64 male and 32 female were confirmed of COVID-19 positive at VRDLs of JNIMS and RIMS, Manipur and they belong to different districts of Manipur. They are all returnees from other States.
New COVID-19 positive cases are being shifted to the COVID Care facility and necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place.
Meanwhile, 14 persons were discharged today from hospitalS after they were found COVID-19 free on RT PCR Test. The total number of recovered cases increased to 232 and recovery rate is 29.85 percent.
The total numbers of positive and active cases increased to 777 and 545 respectively in Manipur.
The State government has provided ventilators to the health facilities with isolation beds located at or near district headquarters and two border towns-Mao and Moreh of Manipur. The total number of ventilators is 48.
