Marcellus Collaborates with VanEck to Expand Indian Investors’ Access to Global Equities, Bonds and Real Assets ETFs

Bengaluru : Marcellus Investment Managers (“Marcellus”), together with its group entities, today announced a strategic collaboration with VanEck, a global investment manager, to expand its global investing offering across multiple asset classes for investors. Under the arrangement, VanEck will provide model portfolio recommendations for a new multi-asset strategy spanning global Equity ETFs, Bond ETFs, Commodities, and Real Asset ETFs, structured and managed by Marcellus.

Indian investors will be able to access this strategy through Marcellus GIFT City (Marcellus Investment Managers Private Limited – IFSC Branch), which is regulated by the IFSCA and operates a Category III AIF feeder structure into the master fund. Marcellus GIFT City has, over nearly four years, built over $75 million in assets across 1,000+ investors through various structures for global investing, helping investors move beyond a purely domestic portfolio. Building on this track record, Marcellus is now widening its offering – from global equities alone to a full multi-asset global suite spanning equities, fixed income, commodities, and real assets – drawing on VanEck’s expertise in multi-asset portfolios.

Saurabh Mukherjea, Founder, Marcellus Investment Managers said: “Working with manager of VanEck’s calibre is a natural extension of what we’ve built at Marcellus GIFT City. Indian UHNIs have long had to navigate inefficient, indirect routes to access the best of global assets — that changes now. This collaboration lets us offer our clients a well-structured, regulated and tax efficient route to world-class global investing, right from home.”

The opportunity is larger than the standard global equity exposure that many Indians have begun to take through GIFT City in recent years. A global multi-asset solution opens up not only the world’s stocks and bonds, but also hard assets and thematic exposures such as nuclear energy and uranium, gold and semiconductors, through ETFs. For Indian high-net-worth investors, it also adds a global wealth preservation solution to what Marcellus GIFT City already offers. It comes at a time when Indian households’ predominant exposure to domestic markets is weighing on their global purchasing power, a gap this collaboration is designed to address.

The collaboration is also an industry first. So far, Indian investors have experienced the multi-asset approach only within India, using Indian equities, bonds and gold. This strategy goes beyond traditional multi-asset solutions and enables meaningful exposure to a global multi-asset portfolio, with the added benefit of dollar diversification.

“We’re excited to partner with Marcellus to bring VanEck’s Wealth Builder model to their clients. Our models go beyond traditional core allocations, combining equities, fixed income, and real assets within a systematic framework built to navigate today’s shifting market environment. We look forward to supporting Marcellus as they expand the investment solutions available to their clients.”
