
Mumbai: In Maharashtra, a five storey building in Kajalpuri locality of Mahad in Raigad district collapsed last evening.
Around 70-80 people are feared to be trapped under the debris. Twenty two people have been rescued from the debris.
Around 50 families have been residing in the building which is said to have been built a decade ago.
Home Minister Amit Shah has said that the collapse of a building in Raigad, Maharashtra is very tragic. Mr Shah spoke to the Director General of National Disaster Response Force, NDRF to provide all possible assistance. In a tweet, he said, the teams are on the way and will be assisting with the rescue operations as soon as possible. He prayed for everyone’s safety.
