Kokrajhar : Mob attacked and ransacked theUltapani Forest office in Kokrajhar and damaged the furniture and vehicles parked on the premises on Monday.
According to forest officials, around 70-80 people from No.2 Ultapani village attacked and vandalised the forest office damaging chairs, tables, almirah and vehicles parked at the office premises around 12 pm. The attack came after two illegal timber smugglers from the village were arrested and brought to the Ultapani forest range office on Sunday last.
Six persons were arrested in this connection
