A moderate earthquake hit some parts of Mizoram today afternoon. According to the National Centre for Seismology, the tremor of 4.6 magnitude on the Richter scale occurred at 2.35 p.m. today.
There is no immediate report of any damage.
The epicentre of the earthquake was at the 25 kilometres deep in 52 kilometres south-southeast of Champhai district. The earthquake was felt in neighbouring areas of the region.
