Bhopal: No damage has been occured to the government documents and files etc. of Laghu Udyog Nigam in the fire on the upper floor of Panchayat Bhawan, Bhopal. It may be noted that a sudden fire broke out on the upper floor of the building on the intervening night of 2-3 November. The fire was overcome with the help of fire brigades.
The conference room of the Laghu Udyog Nigam and the chairperson’s vacant room were situated on the VIth floor of the Panchanan Bhavan. There is no office related to the Nigam’s activities on this floor, hence all records remained safe. All the files of the Nigam have been shifted to the e-office two months back and all the files have been converted into electronic form. The reasons for the fire will be clear in Police investigation. The Nigam’s internal committee is assessing the loss.
The fire could be extinguished after almost four hours of tireless efforts by the officers and personnel of the Municipal Corporation, Bhopal, CISF-BHEL, Police Fire Brigade.
