Mr. Toshihiro Suzuki visits JIM Manesar and IDTR Bahadurgarh

Following the inauguration of Maruti Suzuki’s Kharkhoda vehicle manufacturing facility by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Prime Minister of Japan H.E. Ms. Sanae Takaichi at the India–Japan Joint Economic Forum in New Delhi, the senior leadership of Suzuki Motor Corporation and Maruti Suzuki visited key institutes managed by the Company to drive skill development and road safety in India under its CSR initiative.

Mr. Toshihiro Suzuki, Representative Director & President, Suzuki Motor Corporation, Mr. Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director & CEO, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, along with senior management, visited the Japan-India Institute for Manufacturing (JIM), Manesar. They interacted with students and experienced the state-of-the-art training ecosystem that equips young talent with industry-relevant technical expertise, Japanese manufacturing practices, and a culture rooted in quality, safety, discipline, and continuous improvement.

Later, the dignitaries also visited the Institute of Driving and Traffic Research (IDTR), Bahadurgarh, managed by Maruti Suzuki. IDTRs play a pivotal role in training individuals in safe driving.

During the visit, Mr. Toshihiro Suzuki, Representative Director & President, Suzuki Motor Corporation said, “It was the greatest possible honour for Suzuki in India when both the Hon’ble Prime Ministers of India and Japan inaugurated our Kharkhoda plant yesterday. This places even more responsibility on us to recommit and rededicate ourselves to Viksit Bharat. The foundation of this is human development. I immediately decided to visit today our institutes for road safety – IDTR in Bahadurgarh – and for skill development – JIM in Manesar.”

Maruti Suzuki is dedicated to skill development and road safety as cornerstones of India’s manufacturing growth, aligning with national aspirations of Make in India, Skill India, and Viksit Bharat @2047.
