Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched the Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana on March 5, 2023, for the economic and social empowerment of the women of the state for which the women are as enthusiastic as ever. From the launching date of the scheme till April 18, more than one crore women have registere. In the scheme, women from 23 to 60 years of age who are not income tax payers, have less than 5 acres of land in the family and do not have a four wheeler vehicle in the house, have been considered eligible in the scheme. The process of registration of all these women will continue till April 30.
So far, one crore 52 thousand 223 women have registered themselves under the scheme in the registration process which started from March 25. In this, one crore 75 thousand 918 in Bhopal division, 5 lakh 80 thousand 58 in Chambal, 9 lakh 9 thousand 22 in Gwalior, 4 lakh 36 thousand in Narmadapuram, 16 lakh 60 thousand 587 in Indore, 17 lakh 79 thousand 820 in Jabalpur, 9 lakh 472 women in Rewa, 10 lakh 95 thousand 571 in Sagar, 3 lakh 43 thousand 349 in Shahdol and 12 lakh 71 thousand 426 women in Ujjain division have registered themselves. e-KYC of each applicant has been made mandatory in the registration process.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan is very sensitive and serious about the implementation of the scheme. A series of Mahila Sammelans are being organized by them in the districts. In these conferences, he is giving information about the provisions of the scheme directly to the women, as well as registering the applications of the women. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan has instructed all district collectors to open bank accounts of all eligible women and get them registered and get their e-KYC done free of cost. Free arrangements have been made for this by the state government. The applications received under the scheme will be examined in the month of May and from June 10, Rs one thousand each will start coming into the accounts of the eligible beneficiary women.
