Panaji: The Government of Goa’s Mukhyamantri Swayam Rojgar Yojana (MSRY) is emerging as a key driver of entrepreneurship and self-employment across the State. Designed to promote enterprise creation and sustainable livelihoods, the scheme combines financial assistance with structured entrepreneurship training and capacity-building initiatives. To implement the training component, the Government has partnered with the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII) Goa Centre. Through Entrepreneurship Awareness Programmes (EAPs) and Entrepreneurship Development Programmes (EDPs), aspiring entrepreneurs are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to establish and manage successful businesses.

As of May 2026, EDII Goa Centre has conducted 74 Entrepreneurship Awareness Programmes, benefiting 3,905 participants, including youth, women, students, and aspiring entrepreneurs. These efforts are fostering innovation, entrepreneurial thinking, and startup culture within educational institutions. The growing participation and enthusiasm witnessed under MSRY reflect a positive shift towards entrepreneurship, self-reliance, and innovation-driven economic growth. The scheme continues to play a significant role in creating a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem and supporting Goa’s journey towards inclusive and sustainable development.
