Mumbai: After an action-packed opening day, the Refex Mumbai Ultimate League (MUL) Season 5, presented by Off-Season Ultimate (OSU), is set to return to Wings Arena, Bandra, for another exhilarating weekend of ultimate action on April 19 and 20, with six matches scheduled across two fields each day – at 04:00, 5:30, and 07:00 PM.
The opening day saw Dancing Dragons set the pace by winning both their matches with a combined goal difference of +14, placing them on top of the table with 6 points. Desi Hawks also managed to win both their matches, claiming 6 points with a goal difference of +4, placing them second. They are followed by Bumbai Bantais (3 points), Reborn Fire, and The Afterburners (1 point each), and Bombay Rhinos, who are yet to open their account.
Day 2 opens with The Afterburners facing Bumbai Bantais on Field 1, while Reborn Fire will take on the table-toppers, Dancing Dragons, on Field 2. The Dragons will look to extend their unbeaten run as they also face Desi Hawks in their next match, following their first match on Field 2. Meanwhile, Bombay Rhinos will look to bounce back as they face Afterburners and Reborn Fire.
Desi Hawks, also unbeaten after Day 1, face back-to-back matches against Dancing Dragons and Bumbai Bantais. With qualification spots on the line, Reborn Fire and The Afterburners will also be eyeing crucial wins, while Bumbai Bantais will look to move up from the mid-table zone.
Day 3 will begin with Desi Hawks taking on Reborn Fire on Field 1 and Bumbai Bantais facing Bombay Rhinos on Field 2. Later, Dancing Dragons will face The Afterburners, while Bumbai Bantais take on Reborn Fire. The final round of Week 2 will feature Bombay Rhinos vs The Afterburners and a potential blockbuster, Dancing Dragons vs Desi Hawks, that could shape the points table.
