The nation pays homage to the first President Dr Rajendra Prasad on his 134th birth anniversary today. Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to Dr Prasad.
In a tweet, Mr Naidu remembered Dr Rajendra Prasad and his invaluable services to the nation as a freedom fighter and first President. He said Dr Prasad’s vision and leadership will continue to guide the nation and the people.
In a tweet, Mr Modi said, a symbol of rich talent, simple life and high thoughts and ideas, Rajendra Babu will always remain an inspiration to the countrymen.
Paying his tributes, Information and Broadcasting Minister Col Rajyavardhan Rathore said, as the 1st President of Independent India, Dr Prasad played an important role in laying a strong and stable foundation for India’s prosperous future.
