Jorhat : Along with the rest of the country in Jorhat district too the National Science day was celebrated with the theme—“ Science for People, People for Science” where students from five schools with the strength of over 300 students took part in a colourful rally as students shouting the theme “Science for the people, Science for us” which was also followed by a Science Exhibition where models were displayed with various themes and a discussion, meet was held with a Space Documentary Show which really thrilled the students and teachers which was organized by Department of Science and Technology, Government of Assam, said Dr. Pranab Jyoti Chetia, the Curator of the Jorhat Science Centre and Planetarium here today.
National Science Day is celebrated every year to widely spread the message about the importance of Science used in the daily life of the people and to attract the young minds towards science and it is celebrated to discuss all the issues and implements of new technologies for the development in the field of science and also to encourage the young minds as well as to popularize science and technology and to give opportunity to the hidden scientific minded citizens and upcoming generation of the country, said Curator of Jorhat science Centre Dr. Pranab Jyoti Chetia
