Navi Mumbai: As relentless monsoon rains continue to lash Maharashtra and disrupt daily life across several parts of Navi Mumbai, police personnel remain on the frontlines, working tirelessly in challenging weather to ensure public safety, manage traffic, and maintain law and order. In a heartfelt gesture of appreciation for their dedication, NewEra Hospital, Vashi, distributed 150 raincoats to police personnel serving in the Vashi area. The initiative aims to help protect these frontline officers from the harsh monsoon conditions while recognising their selfless service and commitment to keeping the community safe, even during adverse weather. Present on the occasion Shri. Deepak Sakore, Joint Commissioner of Police, Navi Mumbai, Shri. Shashikant Chandekar,  Senior Police Inspector, Vashi Police Station, and Dr. Mataprasad Gupta, Vice President & CEO, NewEra Hospitals.

Police personnel spend long hours outdoors regulating traffic, responding to emergencies, maintaining law and order, and assisting citizens, often while standing for hours in relentless rain. Continuous exposure to wet weather increases the risk of infections, fever, fatigue, and other monsoon-related health concerns, making protective gear essential for their safety and well-being. Recognising these challenges, NewEra Hospital undertook this initiative to equip police personnel with raincoats that can help them perform their duties more safely and comfortably during the monsoon season.

During the distribution drive, the Hospital expressed its heartfelt appreciation for the dedication, courage, and selfless service of the police force, who continue to safeguard the community despite adverse weather conditions. Dr. Mataprasad Gupta, Vice President and Chief Executive Officer – CEO, NewEra Hospital, said, “Our police personnel work relentlessly in every season to safeguard our communities, often putting their own comfort and well-being aside. Through this initiative, we wanted to express our heartfelt gratitude for their selfless service and help ensure they remain protected during the challenging monsoon months. At NewEra Hospital, we remain committed to supporting every section of society through meaningful community initiatives that promote health, safety, and well-being.”
