NIA files charge sheet in case of smuggling of Rohingyas, Bangladeshi Muslims into India

 Guwahati: Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Assam police had busted a major gang involved in human trafficking by arresting Rohingya Muslims in the last six months. An NIA official said in Guwahati today that according to the police, the wires of the gang were connected from Mewat to Kashmir. The gang members were illegally supplying minor girls from Bangladesh, but girls were also being sent from Kashmir. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a charge sheet in a special court in Guwahati against six people in connection with the human trafficking of Rohingya and Bangladeshi Muslims into India. Kumkum Ahmed Chowdhury alias K.K. Ahmed Chaudhry, Ahiya Ahmad Chowdhury, Bapan Ahmed Chowdhury, Sahlam Laskar, Jamaluddin Chowdhury and Wanbiang Suting have been booked under sections 120B, 370(3) and 370(5) of the IPC.? The case pertains to the permanent settlement of Rohingya and Bangladeshi Muslims in India on the basis of forged documents. The NIA had registered the case on December 27, 2021, taking suo motu cognizance. The NIA said in its chargesheet, “Investigation has revealed that the accused persons, along with other conspirators based in different parts of India and Bangladesh, were involved in organised human trafficking of Rohingya and Bangladeshi Muslims, minor girls, women etc. The accused persons had arranged for their transportation, accommodation, forged documents. Further investigation into the matter is underway. The NIA official said in Guwahati today that These nexuses had bought two girls from Bangladesh for Rs 25,000 each, which were to be sold for Rs 70,000 each. This eagle brings these girls through Myanmar and Kolkata. Before they could sell the girls, the Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Assam Police Crime Branch nabbed them and busted the nexus.Police are not ready to spare anyone who is involved in human trafficking. Meanwhile, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a charge sheet in a special court in Guwahati against six people in connection with the human trafficking of Rohingya and Bangladeshi Muslims to India.
