Norway PM Erna Solberg to arrive in New Delhi on Monday

Prime Minister of Norway Ms. Erna Solberg will arrive in New Delhi tomorrow on a three-day state visit to India.

She will be accompanied by senior officials from her government and a large business delegation.

During the visit, Ms Solberg will hold talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She will also call on President Ram Nath Kovind and Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu.

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj will call on the visiting dignitary.

Prime Minister of Norway will deliver the Inaugural address at the Raisina Dialogue and will address India-Norway Business Summit.

The Ministry of External Affairs in a statement said, the visit of Ms Solberg will provide an opportunity to review the progress in bilateral cooperation between the two countries and discuss ways to further expand the multifaceted partnership in areas of common interest.

India and Norway enjoy close and multifaceted ties. Economic and technical cooperation are important facets of the bilateral relation. 

More than 100 Norwegian companies have invested in India in areas such as ship-building, petroleum related services, hydropower, clean energy and IT services.

Several major Indian companies are also present in Norway. India and Norway have shared interest in sustainable use of ocean resources for growth of the economies.
