NRL pays dividend amounting to Rs. 77.2 crore to Govt. of Assam

Guwahati : Managing Director, Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) S.K. Barua today presented the company’s second interim dividend amounting to Rs. 77.2 crore to chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal for the financial year 2018-19 at chief minister’s chamber in Assam Legislative Assembly here today. Sonowal received the cheque as part of the dividend against Government of Assam’s equity holding of 12.35 per cent in the company. It may be noted that NRL has till now paid an amount of Rs, 127.15 crore as interim dividend for the current financial year 2018-19. The final dividend will be decided at the NRL’s board meeting after the end of the current financial year ending on 31 st March 2019. Industry and Commerce Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary, Additional Chief Secretary Ravi Capoor, senior officials of NRL were present during presentation of the dividend cheque.
