Kokrajhar : The NSS Pre Republic Day (Pre RD) parade camp 2021 for east zone organized by Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, NSS Regional Directorate, Guwahati, Assamis is being hosted by Central Institute Of Technology, Kokrajhar.
The inaugural function of Pre Republic Day camp at CIT Kokrajhar was organized on 25 October and the camp will continue till 3 November next. Pradip Kr. Gupta, ADC Kokrajhar attended the inaugural function as chief guest. Dr TG VijayaRaj, General Manager Airport Authority of India (Rtd.), Arjun Narzary, UNDP Consultant (Former UN Volunteer) along with NSS Officials from Regional Directorate Guwahati were among those present.
Two Officers from Indian Army – Mahar Regiment, Kokrajhar, Assam on invitation is imparting parade training to the NSS Volunteers. The Pre Republic day camp is a ten days camp where the volunteers are imparted training in leadership development and parade apart from organising various socio-cultural programmes. It provides ample opportunities to the NSS volunteers not only to interact among themselves but also to learn and know the tradition, custom, culture, language of one state to another. These volunteers, in this ten day stay together in the camp, become capable to present themselves in the more better way and constitute a bond of patriotism, national integration, brotherhood, communal harmony where the ultimate goal of the camp is to select volunteers to participate in Republic Day Parade camp at new Delhi.
J D Herembeswar Basumatary, Programme Coordinator NSS CIT Kokrajhar expressed thankful to Dipak Kumar, Regional Director, NSS Directorate Guwahati for giving opportunity to CIT to host this prestigious event. He said right from the beginning, these Pre Republic Day Parade Camps have been proved a boon for the personality development of NSS Volunteers for all the volunteers.
