Odisha govt forms multi-disciplinary technical committee to monitor COVID-19 treatment

Bhuvaneswar: The government of Odisha has formed a multi-disciplinary technical committee to monitor and provide technical assistance to covid healthcare facilities round the clock. Senior professors and doctors of each of the 7 medical colleges in the state have been formed as technical groups to guide the doctors of districts assigned to them.

These technical teams have been constituted to act as an oversight mechanism to fix the infection trajectory trending upward and also to pin the fatalities further down. Each of these specialised groupings would be guiding the doctors in a given set of districts, treating Covid-19 patients. Meanwhile, with 2589 fresh cases, the Covid-19 caseload of the state has climbed to 67,122 as of midnight, last Tuesday. However, the recovery has also crossed the 45,000 mark trailing case-positivity in a close competition.
