Olympic Glory Inspires Greenery: Smiling Tree’s Sapling Drive in Delhi

New Delhi: Smiling Tree, a leading environmental organization, successfully conducted a plantation drive at Som Vihar, RK Puram, Delhi, to promote environmental sustainability and community involvement. Volunteers came together to plant over 100 saplings in local parks, highlighting the vital role of greenery in fostering a healthier ecosystem.

This initiative not only aimed to enhance environmental awareness but also celebrated the remarkable achievements of Indian champion shooters Manu Bhaker, Sarabjot Singh, and Swapnil Kusale, who won three bronze medals at the Paris Olympics. Earlier a couple of days ago, in honor of the above three medal winners, Smiling Tree planted 230 saplings at Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology. Smiling Tree has pledged to plant 100 saplings for every medal won by India at the Paris Olympics.

Dr. Mukesh Kwatra, founder of Smiling Tree, expressed his enthusiasm for the endeavor, stating, “Our plantation drive is a tribute to the outstanding achievements of our athletes at the Paris Olympics. By planting 100 saplings for every medal won, we aim to inspire national pride and encourage everyone to contribute to a greener and more sustainable future.
