GUWAHATI : The BJP leader alleged that Rahul Gandhi is “dividing” India in the north and south and he is doing similar politics in Assam by creating differences between different tribes and communities. BJP national president Jagat Prakash Nadda criticised the Congress and said that it can only guarantee corruption wherever it comes to power. He also criticised the Congress for its alliance with AIUDF in Assam and said that the party had been rejected by Tarun Gogoi. At Sutia’s election rally, Nadda said that when the alliance was in the 2006 assembly, Gogoi had asked in a very tanj-filled accent, “Who is Ajmal?” (Here Ajmal means AIUDF chief Badruddin Ajmal) and now the Congress is telling him “Bhai Bandhu”.

Before that, the Congress always considered the Muslim immigrants living in the state as vote banks. He questioned, “I am wondering what his son (Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi) has to say about it. Is this the way to take his father’s legacy forward? “The BJP leader said that the country is poised for a ‘Congress-free India’. “There are still some states left, but soon all will be part of the NDA,” he said. In another rally in Dhakukhana, the BJP president said that the Congress has promised to guarantee five things when it comes to power in Assam, but it can only give a ‘ guarantee of corruption ‘. In an election rally here, Nadda said that nowadays many Congress leaders are coming to Assam and talking about five guarantees. Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra recently launched a five-guarantee campaign during campaigning in Assam. The BJP president said, “For 60 years, congress leaders have been involved in corruption, so we have been filling the pits for the last five years. Roads are repaired, two-lane roads are made of four and six lanes.

The BJP president said that only the BJP has a mission, while “the Congress is only interested in the Commission. He alleged that the Congress believes in mere ‘ hanging ‘, ‘ stuck ‘, ‘ wandering ‘, but Prime Minister Narendra Modi believes in ‘ linking ‘. “Prime Minister Modi has made his efforts to connect Assam and north-eastern states to the mainstream of India. He said Prime Minister Modi’s efforts were materialized by the Sarbananda Sonowal-led BJP government in the state, which has further advanced assam on the path of development. “It is the responsibility of the people of the state to win the BJP candidate Nabkumar Dole on March 27 from this seat and we assure you that the government will complete all pending works in the next five years,” Nadda said. Nadda has come to Assam today in connection with the election campaign. In Assam, elections are being held in three phases for the 126-member assembly on March 27, April 1 and April 6.
