Kokrajhar: A One-day district level orientation and sensitisation programme on Mission Shakti with special focus on “Beti Baçhao Beti Padhao” was held at Kokrajhar Government College Auditorium in Kokrajhar.
Organised by District Hub for Empowerment of Women, Kokrajhar, the main objectives of the program is to sensitize sub scheme and components of Mission Shakti: Sambai (Safety and Security) Samarthya (Empowerment). It also aimed to enlighten about different women-centric schemes and initiatives that can empower and uplift women in the region.
BTC Secretary Women & Child Development Jatin Bora, Deputy Director Women & Child Development, Assam Rekha Borah, State Mission Coordinator State Hub for Empowerment of Women (SHEW) Assam Rubi Bhagawati Sharma, Secretary District Legal Service Authority Kokrajhar Boloram Kshetri, Principal of Kokrajhar Government College Dr Dimasa D Muchahary attended and spoke on the topic.
The program was attended by various line departments, Home department, CDPOs, Supervisors, and CSOS.
