New Delhi: Osho Dham celebrated International Yoga Day with a deeply meditative and experiential session of Osho Prana Yoga Meditation on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at the Dhyan Mandir, Osho Dham, New Delhi. Facilitated by Swami Chaitanya Keerti, the special gathering brought together seekers from diverse backgrounds to explore yoga as a path of inner awareness through the science of conscious breathing.

Held amidst the serene and lush surroundings of Osho Dham, the one-hour meditation session offered participants an opportunity to move beyond the physical dimensions of yoga and experience its meditative essence. Based on Osho’s celebrated discourse series Gita Darshan, the programme focused on Prana Yoga—the art of observing the breath as a bridge between the body and consciousness.

Unlike conventional Yoga Day events that primarily emphasize physical postures, the session drew upon the wisdom of Patanjali Yoga and Vigyan Bhairav Tantra, guiding participants into a state of inner stillness through simple yet profound awareness of breathing. The meditation highlighted yoga as an inward journey of self-discovery, balance and awakening.

Addressing the gathering, Swami Chaitanya Keerti said, “International Yoga Day reminds us that yoga is not only about strengthening the body but also about awakening consciousness. Through Osho Prana Yoga, participants rediscover the extraordinary potential hidden within the ordinary act of breathing. This meditation offers a direct and experiential path towards silence, balance and inner awareness—qualities that are increasingly essential in today’s fast-paced world.”

Drawing from Osho’s teachings, participants were introduced to the understanding that breath continuously connects human beings with both the outer world and their inner existence. Osho describes the subtle pause between inhalation and exhalation as a sacred moment where movement ceases, the mind becomes still, and one comes into contact with the timeless. It is through this silent interval, he explains, that the possibility of experiencing one’s true nature emerges.

The session concluded with participants spending an hour in silent observation of the breath, experiencing a profound sense of calm, presence and inner clarity. As International Yoga Day celebrations took place across the country, the gathering at Osho Dham served as a powerful reminder that yoga is not merely a discipline of the body but also a transformative path towards awareness. It is more appropriate to call it Dhyan yoga. Yoga added with Dhyan makes it complete and holistic.
