Bhuj: Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a sharp dig at Pakistan, stating that while India promotes tourism that connects people, Pakistan treats terrorism as tourism. Addressing a public rally in Bhuj in the border district Kutch today, Mr. Modi accused Pakistan of destroying the future of its youth for selfish gains. He emphasised that Operation Sindoor has made India’s Zero tolerance policy against terrorism absolutely clear. Calling Operation Sindoor a mission to save humanity and end terrorism, Prime said India’s fight is firmly against cross-border terrorism, and those who nurture it are our enemies. Mr. Modi said Pakistan targeted the Indian innocents, for which it had paid a huge cost.
Prime Minister asserted that India has chosen the path of development, peace and prosperity. He praised Kutch’s transformation over the last two decades and paid tribute to the brave women of Kutch who restored the Kutch runway during the 1971 India-Pakistan war.
Mr. Modi who is on a visit to Gujarat, inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for various developmental works worth over 53,400 crore in Bhuj today. Highlighting Kutch’s strides in renewable energy, he said Kutch has emerged as a global centre of renewable energy, especially in Green Hydrogen and solar energy.
Prime Minister Modi also mentioned notable contribution of Kutch’s Deendayal Port and Mundra Port, noting that one-third of the maritime trade in the world flows through these ports. Mr. Modi reiterated his commitment towards port-led development, modernisation of the Ports, tourism and employment to the youths. From seafood to tourism and trade, India is building a new ecosystem along the coastal regions, he added.
The Projects launched today include solar parks in Kutch and Jamnagar, HTLS transmission lines in various districts of Saurashtra, a thermal power plant in Tapi and a new 220/66 kV substation in Jamnagar. Prime Minister also inaugurated the Centre of Excellence at the DPA Office in Gandhidham and various infrastructure and development works at religious and cultural sites, including Mata na Madh, Khatla Bhavani, and Chachar Kund. Mr. Modi laid the foundation stone for the ±800 Kv HVDC project for power transmission from the newly developed Renewable Energy Zone in Khavda and a 10 MW Green Hydrogen plant at Kandla.
