Patient dies: Human Rights Commission took suo motu cognizance; collector seeks report

State Human Rights commission took suo motu cognizance in connection with the death of a patient in front of District Hospital, Aluva due to the treatment delay. Human Rights chairman Justice Antony Dominic seeks report from Health Department Director after proper enquiry, within Three weeks.  Vijayan, a security employee from Paravoor living in a flat at Pulinchuvadu, Aluva died with fever in front of District Hospital Aluva.

Ambulance driver and others complained that the hospital authority denied proper treatment to the patient for almost one hour. Vijayan died in the Ambulance itself.  But the hospital authority says there was no relentless from their part.
