In 2020, Arrival of Covid-19 has been a major reason behind huge loss to human fraternity and one major loss was the loss of positive vibes from the human family. When everyone was fighting with the negative circumstances we thought to come up with a literature event to fill the negative hearts with positive push.

With Students Welfare Organisation Pentaomina – Lovely Professional University, we ( Champ Readers Association ) tried to give a beautiful shape to one the biggest E-Lit Festivals of 2020 – Pentaomina E-Lit Festival – 2020 in which number of Authors from the various regions of the nation participated and shared their life-story, views on books of different genres written by various authors of the world, how one can remain positive during every negative situation and how books support in transforming your thoughts and fighting with every situation.

In this programme Authorslike Monisha K. GumberKapil Raj, Nitin Sharma, Jupinderjit Singh, Dr. Manisha Yadava, Dr. Pulkit Sharma, Shuvashree Chaudhary, Sonia Sahijwani, Charu Vashishta, Ruchika Yadav, Sahil Tanvir, Shivangi Ramsay participated from the entire nation.

Out of all these Authors who joined us and interacted warmly with the audience we were also having Sir Neil D’Silva who is known for writing Horror stories. Sir D’Silva is the member of the international Horror writers association. His book has also won the title of ‘Entertainer of the year’ at the Literary Awards 2015. His name has also been highlighted by UK’s DESiblitz magazine in which it is mentioned that he is one among the top 7 Indian Horror genre writers to be read. He has also won ‘Indian Bloggers Award 2017 for outstanding achievement in short stories.’

After the event his words were “I can safely say that my session on horror writing at the Pentaomnia online festival was among the best online discussions I have had during this lockdown, and I have had quite a number of them. What struck me the most was the liveliness of the group. We had around 500 plus participants during the live session itself and the page was buzzing with messages and people joining in. I spoke of horror literature in India, compared it to western horror, and spoke of prevailing trends, and people asked interesting questions. I was initially invited to the physical fest, but they did it online due to the pandemic and I am glad they had me over. It was one of the best evenings I spent in recent months.”

This programme was also joined by Sir Sudeep Nagarkar who is an Indian Novelist and bestselling author of 12 fiction titles. He is known as the achiever of  “Youth Icon of the Year” and also “Celebrity author of 2013” by Amazon. He has also nominated for the list of “Top 100 influential celebrities of India 2014” by Forbes India.

This Literature Festival ran for a month through which our basic motto was to imbue the people with the positive vibes and to motivate them to stand again with positivity in their mind. The programme left an indelible impression over the minds of the listeners and throughout the whole month we kept on receiving messages from the listeners which actually was the beautiful push for us to move ahead with such kind of events. I would like to organise such kind of events back to back so that, in any way, we can be a source of inspiration to people of our nation.
