Haflong: Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, Assam Shri Pijush Hazarikaheld areview meet on prevailing COVID-19 situation with the Council Team, District Administration, Healthcare Staffs and District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) at Circuit House, Maibang on Thursday.
Considering the prevailing situation n Dima Hasao along with the state, Minister instructed all to work in concerted way to ensure best care to patients.
The review meeting was attended by Chief Executive Member, Debolal Gorlosa, Executive Members Samuel Changsan, Nandita Gorlosa, Ngamrothang Hmar, Golonjo Thaosen, MACs Ratan Jarambusa, Bimal Hojai, Nobojit Hojai, Deputy Commissioner, Paul Barua, Joint Director, Dr Dipali Barman etc.
Minister, Pijush Hazarika talking to the media said…every possible steps would be taken to ensure best care to patients, also the payments to the caterers who are providing food etc to the patients because this was also important issue. He also said, considering the increase of positive cases, the model hospital at Langting to be made covid hospital.
Executive Member, Samuel Changsan expressing concern over the high rate of positive cases in the district in comparison to the population said the NCHAC and the departments along with staff have been trying their best in this covid situation. Assam Govt. and NCHAC have been committed to minimise the positive cases and also the mortality rate in Dima Hasao. As of now the capacity of Haflong Civil Hospital is 108 and 88 patients are being treated and about 78 in home isolation.
Deputy Commissioner, Paul Barua Said today’s meeting was fruitful one as the Minister Hazarika assured us all possible help to fight the Covid 19 in the district of Dima Hasao.
