Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated several developmental projects worth around 14,500 crore rupees in Odisha during his day-long visit to the state today. The projects are related to health, road and highways, higher education and culture. The projects are part of Mr Modi’s vision of Purbodaya – a prosperous East for building a new India.
Mr Modi inaugurated new campus of IIT-Bhubaneswar at Aragul built with a cost of 1,660 crore rupees and ESIC hospital in Bhubaneshwar costing over 73 crores. The projects also include the Lalitgiri Archaeological Museum which houses huge sculptures of the Buddha and various Buddhist deities.
