Police academy of international standards to be set up soon in Lucknow: CM Yogi Adityanath

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced that a police academy of international standards will be set up very soon in Lucknow for training cops which will be the first of its kind of institute in the state. 

He was speaking at the inaugural function of State Police Headquarters ‘Signature’ building in Lucknow yesterday. On this occasion, he also said that better policing has changed the perception about the state and investors now coming forward for investment in the state.

AIR Correspondent reports that the State Police Headquarters was running from a camp office established as make-shift arrangement in 1937. Inaugurating the new building of police headquarters, Chief Minister said that he also wants to open a forensic university to ensure that State Police are not dependent on any other agency in case of any eventuality. 

Stressing the need for the betterment of police force, Mr Yogi said that refresher courses should be conducted to train police forcein using latest technology.
